Spam Filter Advice

If you use any of the mail services below, spam filters may prevent receipt of your user activation code from ROK Comics.

Before you sign up for our service we recommend you alter your mail options so you can receive mail from ROK Comics, particularly our Customer Services address of customerservices@rokcomics.com

Some email services simply bounce our emails before they even reach a Spam Folder, so these instructions explain how to avoid this.

Jump straight to instructions for AOL EarthLink GMail Hotmail Yahoo Microsoft Outlook

If you are still having problems, e-mail us at customerservices@rokcomics.com and we will manually activate your account.

AOL -- www.aol.com

In AOL Mail, click Mail Controls then select "Use a custom sender list" and click on the words "custom sender list." This will bring up a window to add allowed senders. Enter "customerservices@rokmail.com" and/or "rokcomics.com" and click on Add and then Save.

EarthLink -- webmail.earthlink.net Click on the Known Spam Folder link on the left side of the page. This folder collects any email that EarthLink automatically detects as spam and deletes it based on your preferences.

To adjust your spam settings click on the Settings tab at the top of the Known Spam Folder. There are three levels of protection.

If you are set at the highest setting, any email from an address that is not in your address book will automatically be routed to your spam folder. Add the domain rokcomics.com by clicking on Address Book in the left column of the page, then at the top of your Address Book page, select Companies (Domains) and click Add.

This will allow you to input the domains you choose and direct messages from those addresses straight to your inbox.

GMail -- www.google.com

It's possible that your ROK Comics email has been redirected to GMail's spam folder. Check your spam folder, and if your email is there, select it then use the "Not Spam" button to move the message to your Inbox. This should ensure that the email address customerservices@rokmail.com is white listed in future

Hotmail -- www.hotmail.com or equivalent e.g www.hotmail.co.uk

Log in to your MSN account. Click on the Mail tab (it's at the top of the page, then on the Junk E-Mail link on the left side of the page. This folder collects any email that Hotmail automatically detects as spam and deletes it after five days.

Hotmail may also simply reject an e-mail depending on your settings. To adjust these, click the Options link on the top right of any Hotmail page, then select Junk E-Mail Protection. First, check your Junk E-Mail Filter. If you opt to use the "Exclusive" option, only mail from your contact and safe lists will arrive in your inbox. Other mail will be delivered to your Junk E-Mail folder. To add Rok Comics to your safe list, click on the Safe List link on the Junk E-Mail Protection page, then enter "customerservices@rokmail.com" and/or "rokcomics.com", and click Add.

Yahoo!- mail.yahoo.com and others such as yahoo.co.uk

Click on the Bulk link on the left side of the page. If you have Yahoo's SpamGuard activated, this is where you will find any email that SpamGuard automatically detects as spam, which will be deleted after 30 days.

To move mail from your Bulk folder into your inbox, select a message from ROK Comics, mark the check box beside it, then click Not Spam.

You can also set up mail filters to automatically send any email from ROK Comics straight to your inbox. For instructions on how to do this go to: help.yahoo.com/help/mail/manage/manage-06.html.

To permanently adjust your spam settings, click the Options link on the top right of the page, then select Spam Protection.

Microsoft Outlook

To make sure all the images in the email appear correctly, add "customerservices@rokmail.com" and/or "rokcomics.com" to your safe list.

On the Tools menu, click Options. On the Preferences tab, click Junk E-mail. Select the Safe Senders or Safe Recipients tab and click Add. Type "custmerservices@rokmail.com" and/or "rokcomics.com" in the box that says "Enter an e-mail address or Internet domain name to be added to the list," then click OK. For more information, click on the Help menu in the top toolbar, then select Microsoft Office Outlook Help. Type "safe sender list" into the Search box.
