The ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition is subject to the privacy policy and website terms and conditions of ROK Media Ltd (“ROK Media”).
The following rules shall apply, together with any instructions or rules specific to the competition. By entering the ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition you are deemed to have accepted the following:
The ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition is open to all ROK Comics account holders, except for ROK employees and their relatives, and anyone professionally connected with the prize offered in this competition.
ROK Media reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
To qualify for and be entered into the ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition, any humour strip created by ROK Comics users between 1 August 2008 and 1 September 2008 (by 12 noon GMT) qualifies for entry.
By entering you are also deemed to be abiding by the terms and conditions of the use of the ROK Comics site as regards copyright etc. Click here for the Terms of Use of the ROK Comics site.
Any humour strip entered for the ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition must be your own or a collborative work entered with agreement of all creators involved. If asked, you must be able to demonstrably prove that you own the copyright of any imagery featured in any entry.
The strip must be in the English language.
Strips can be created using either your own artwork or photographs or using the inbuilt ROK Comics imagery available through the ROK Comics Creator Tool
By taking part in ROK Media competitions, you warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete at the time of submission. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your details and e-mail address are accurate, and that ROK Media is informed of any changes to these. ROK Media accepts no responsibility for any changes that are not properly notified from the time of submission of your entry to the time of notification that the prize has been awarded.
ROK Media reserve the right to disqualify your entry if it is incomplete, unsuitable (again, see terms and conditions of site use) or if there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of these rules.
All taxes, insurances, transfers and other expenses resulting from the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated.
There are no cash alternatives to any prize offered.
Failure to claim a prize within the time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternative winner.
ROK Media reserves the right to alter, amend or close this competition as necessary.
In the case of any disputes regarding these rules, or the rules or instructions of the ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition, the decision of ROK Media will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
ROK reserves the right to use entries and winning comic strips within ROK Comics and its associated comics partners.
The ROK Comics 2008 Humour Competition and these rules are governed by English Law.
